 We are filled with lights in our life. Every now and then lights helps us to illuminate our life and help to glow our moods.

There are many things we use everyday. But, lights are something which helps to stay happy time with great time in our home or chilling in a backyard or patio.

What is lantern?

According to Wikipedia, A lantern is an often portable source of lighting, typically featuring a protective enclosure for the light source — historically usually a candle or a wick in oil, and often a battery-powered light in modern times — to make it easier to carry and hang up, and make it more reliable outdoors or in drafty interiors.

Lanterns are usually made of oil lanterns, battery-powered lanterns or LED lanterns. These lanterns can be used for indoors as well as outdoors.

Some lanterns have longer run time helping to use it for power outages or sudden power cuts to help you lighten-up your life.

It has longer run time more than 10 hours helping you get proper brightness and enjoy happy time avoiding sudden darkness in your room.

Lanterns can also be used for outdoor activities like camping, hiking, fishing and many more. The outdoor lanterns are constructed with strong materials to withstand uneven situations like stormy rains or hurricane situations.

These lanterns have strong brightness to find way and enjoy the outdoor adventure with entertaining company.

Types of lanterns

As discussed earlier, there are various types of lanterns suitable for indoor as well as outdoor use.

Oil Lanterns/Kerosene Lanterns

As the name suggests, oil lanterns are filled with oil. The fuel used to burn the lantern is oil. These lanterns require long wick to lighten up you room. They may be slightly heavy and can also be used to decorate your surroundings.

Kerosene Lanterns have kerosene as their fuel. The difference is slightly less. These lanterns have glass globe outside to spread the light over wider area.

These lanterns can be used for power outages as well as outdoor camping.

Battery-Powered Lantern

These lanterns have long battery back up. They are usually used for outdoor camping or hiking activities where you require lots of travelling and presence of light to enjoy the lovely nature adventure.
These lanterns are called best battery powered hurricane lanterns.
These lanterns have D cell batteries which may be slightly heavy but have long battery back up helping you avoid power cut and use the lantern for long time.

LED Lantern

LED lantern used LED bulbs to lighten up the lantern. These lantern has multi-purpose use and can be used for indoors and outdoors.
These lanterns are super lightweight and able to carry anywhere with ease. These lanterns have a feature to adjust the brightness.
Also, LED lanterns have longer run time and durability to carry the lantern as per your requirement.
